The U2 line runs in 10 minute-intervals (during big fairs and peak periods every 5 minutes) to the fairground. Please exit the train at "Messestadt Ost".

For the FOOD & LIFE, get off at the subway station "Messestadt Ost" and use the east entrance.

MVV tickets for any means of public transport can be obtained:

  • From ticket machines at S- and U-Bahn stops
  • Fom ticket machines in trams and busses (single and day tickets only)
  • At ticket offices (kiosks etc.)
  • In regional buses

Please note: All tickets must be validated in a blue ticket-cancelling machine before you start your trip.

The Munich Exhibition Centre is located directly on the A94 motorway and can be reached via the Munich-Riem (to the east entrance) and Feldkirchen-West exits. There are plenty of parking spaces available directly at the exhibition centre. A traffic guidance system will direct you to the appropriate parking facilities for each event.

Parking rates per car – outdoor area
Day ticket: €12.00
Afternoon rate from 2:30 p.m.: €7.00

Using the navigation system to get to the Munich exhibition grounds

Please enter "An der Point" as your destination address in your navigation system. Depending on which navigation system you use, you will find the exhibition grounds in the category "Exhibition grounds", "Exhibition centre" or under the keyword "Exhibition". Some navigation systems also allow you to select the East, West and North exhibition entrances.

The administrative building of GHM Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen mbH can be reached via the destination address "Paul-Wassermannstr. 5, 81829 Munich".

Munich city centre is an environmental zone. Since then, the entire area within the Mittlerer Ring may only be entered with a valid green fine dust sticker. The Mittlerer Ring itself is not part of the environmental zone.

The Munich Trade Fair Centre is located outside this zone.

You do not need an emissions sticker to visit the trade fair. However, if you plan to visit the city afterwards or stay overnight in the city area, you will need a fine dust sticker for your vehicle.

The environmental badge is available at all vehicle registration offices as well as at TÜV and DEKRA.

Truck ban in Munich

In Munich, as part of the Clean Air Action Plan, there is a transit ban for lorries weighing more than 3.5 tonnes. Through traffic is diverted onto the A99 motorway. The diversion is indicated by special signs in the surrounding area and in the city, as well as diversion signs to the nearest motorway.

Delivery traffic to or from Munich is expressly exempt from the driving ban. This means that deliveries to and from the exhibition grounds are not affected by the driving ban. However, lorries with a destination outside Munich are not permitted to take the A94 towards Munich when leaving the exhibition grounds, as this would make them transit traffic.
